What is a typical service like?
We have a liturgy that follows the four movements of Christian worship: gathering, word, table, sending.
In gathering we acknowledge, God calls us together as His people and to enter His presence. We have a corporate call to worship and sing songs of praise.
We then encounter God through his Word. We read the Scriptures aloud, confess our sins, proclaim the assurance of forgiveness, pass the peace (greet one another in the Lord) and hear the Word preached. During the sermon, kids will go to their classes (except on first Sundays).
We then encounter God at the Table. We give thanks to God for who He is and what he has done. We bring offerings, celebrate Communion, and sing songs of thanksgiving.
Then God sends us out to carry out the Great Commission. We sing a song of sending, review what we are doing as a church, and have a benediction.
That is a typical service at Harvest. There might be elements that are different or unfamiliar to you, but we invite you to come and worship with us and experience them firsthand.

What if I am bringing kids?
We have a nursery for littles, 0-2 1/2 years old.
For the older kids, we include them in much of our worship service. They will join us for the first part of worship and then go to their classes during the sermon (except for the first Sunday of the month when they will stay with us in service). We invite the kids to the front of the service to be prayed for before sending them downstairs for their classes. They will rejoin us after the sermon for Communion and more singing.
If you are worried about your kids disrupting the services, don’t be. We think it is important for our kids to learn what it means to worship Jesus. Plus it keeps the service lively!

What should I wear?
Something comfortable. Most of us dress casually, but if you're more comfortable in a coat and tie or clothing that reflects your heritage and culture, you won't be alone.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Our worship service happens on the top floor of the church building. If you park in the upper lot, the front doors will take you to into the lobby where a greeter will direct you. If you park in the lower lot, you can go through the lower entrance where greeters will direct you upstairs. If you have kids who will be in the nursery, the lower lot can be convenient as the kids’ ministry is located on the lower level.
