Kids

“Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.”
John Trainer

Sunday Worship Service

Harvest has a great team of teachers and caretakers that love children and want to share their love of God with them in a positive, easy-to-understand manner.

NURSERY — Infants – 2 1/2 year: Parents will feel comfortable leaving their little ones knowing that the nursery workers will keep their baby safe, fed, diapered and entertained. The workers play, read books and sing songs with the children.

All children in preschool through 6th grade will join us upstairs in the main service for worship, confession, and assurance.

They will be dismissed downstairs for Children’s Worship before the sermon, and will return just before communion. During Children’s Worship, the children will be introduced to our Bible story for the week, practice memorizing the Key Passage and the Big Picture Question, learn about our missionaries, and will take offering.

Equipping Hour

During Equipping Hour, our children will attend classes based on their grade. Each class will dive deeper into the week’s bible story in age-appropriate ways.
  • Primary: This is a structured class where children are taught a Bible lesson and have craft, music and play time. We use an interactive curriculum that helps engage each child in the lesson.
  • Elementary: Children will enjoy a class of Bible stories, music, crafts, book and games. The teachers share Christ’s love in a positive, fun atmosphere.
  • Intermediate: Children will read through the Bible story together and talk through the discussion questions as a class. They will play games, memorize scripture, and encourage each other in the way of Jesus.
